Want to see a summary of all of the features included in this release? Check out the Release Summary located at the bottom of this page.
Assign Users to Multiple Roles
You can now assign the same user to multiple roles in a workflow, including roles assigned through advanced conditions. For example, you can assign the Workflow Owner to multiple approvals or carry the Legal Review assignee into a later Final Legal Sign-off approval. If a persisted role is reassigned, the new assignee is applied to future linked roles. This reduces manual selections and reassignment, making complex workflows easier to configure and approval assignments more consistent.

List Obligation Occurrences Through the Public API and MCP
You can now list occurrences for recurring and triggered obligations through the Public API and MCP. This helps you find the specific occurrence whose status you need to update.
Use GET /obligations/{id}/instances to list occurrences for a source obligation. You can also include include=occurrences when listing obligations to return the first five occurrences for each source obligation and an occurrenceCount. In MCP, list_obligations supports this option, and a new tool lets you list occurrences directly.

Ironclad for Word Add-In FedRAMP Support
The Ironclad Word Add-in supports FedRAMP (GCC High) environments, so you can work with Ironclad contracts in Microsoft Word. It uses a separate version of the add-in for GCC High. Your GCC High tenant admin deploys it through Microsoft Centralized Deployment. After deployment, you can open the add-in in Word to work with contracts in your FedRAMP environment.

Grant Contract Reminder Access
You can now give groups permission to view or manage company reminders without making their members company admins. In Company settings > Groups, turn on View Reminders to let group members see all company reminders, or Edit Reminders to let them create, edit, and delete reminders. Members without these permissions can still see their own reminders, and existing admin access stays the same.

Import Signed Contracts from DocuSign
You can import completed, signed contracts from your DocuSign account directly into Ironclad. In basic upload or Smart Import, choose DocuSign, connect your account, then search or browse your completed envelopes and select the contracts to import. In Smart Import, AI extraction runs automatically after import. You no longer need to download signed PDFs from DocuSign and upload them manually. Each user can access only their own DocuSign envelopes.

Forms Improvements
You now have a more consistent experience when completing and updating workflow forms. During Review, the Edit Information form now opens full screen so you can quickly find and update workflow details, while internal and counterparty forms provide clearer navigation, validation, and completion steps. Your existing workflow data stays unchanged, so no action is required on your part.

Archive Agent Improvements
Archive Agent has new capabilities that make archiving faster and more flexible. It works like Intake Agent to help teams complete the archive step efficiently:
- Automatically fills in empty fields.
- Suggests answers for fields that already contain data, so users can review and correct information when needed.
- Includes an Accept All button to apply suggestions quickly.
- Lets end users move a contract back to the Sign stage when necessary.
These updates give teams more control over the archiving process while helping them complete it more efficiently.

Connect Third-Party MCP Systems to Ironclad Agent
You can now connect Ironclad Agent to third-party MCP servers through the MCP Gateway and use their tools and data alongside Ironclad contract context. For example, you can ask Agent to retrieve supplier usage or benchmark data from a connected procurement system while you work in Ironclad. If you use similar connectors, specify the connection name in your request—such as “Ask Zylo…” or “Ask Spendflo…”—so Agent uses the intended system. Agent can combine information from the connected system with relevant contract context to answer your questions.

Enhanced Turn Tracking
Ironclad Early Access Program: This feature is in Early Access and may change before it is generally available. If you're interested in this feature, please reach out to your Ironclad representative or Support to see if you're eligible for EAP access.
This update adds internal turn tracking, supporting reviewers, and more accurate approval duration data to help teams understand internal review ownership and timing.
Internal Turn Tracking and Supporting Reviewers
Internal turn tracking helps teams see who owns the next internal action on a workflow. It also tracks active review time, excluding time that an approver spends waiting for input from others.
To request that input without blocking workflow progress, you can add supporting reviewers.
When you add a supporting reviewer, the original approver’s review timer pauses and the supporting reviewer’s timer starts. When the original approver resolves the supporting review, their timer resumes.
Supporting reviewers can view the workflow and provide input, but they cannot approve or reject the workflow. The original approver remains accountable and can approve at any time, even while a supporting review is open. Only the original approver can resolve a supporting review.
Approval Data Enhancements
The way Ironclad calculates approval duration now more accurately accounts for approval resets, conditional approval changes, reassignments, and time spent waiting on others. These updates help improve reports that rely on approval data in Insights.

Add Contract Text to Snowflake Data Share
Snowflake Data Share now includes approved contract text for in-scope contracts, alongside workflow, record, and related contract metadata.
Your legal, procurement, finance, and data teams can analyze agreement content in Snowflake and join it with the business data they already use. This helps teams identify contract trends, support governance and reporting, and build internal analytics or AI workflows without manual exports or a separate extraction pipeline.
For example, you can:
- Find text phrases in agreements and group the results by related contract metadata
- Combine agreement context with CRM, ERP, supplier, or finance data that your organization already maintains in Snowflake
- Build customer-managed reporting, quality checks, or other internal workflows

Coupa Integration Enhancements
We’ve added new features to the Coupa integration that are designed to support procurement managers, legal operations, and compliance teams:
- Start Ironclad workflows from existing Coupa requisitions: Users can search in Ironclad launch forms for existing Coupa requisitions by requisition ID, or description, and use the mapped data to pre-fill the workflow.
- View contract status and executed agreements in Coupa: Coupa displays the status of linked Ironclad workflows, and receive the fully executed contract PDF after the contract reaches the supported completion status.
Note:
Only valid requisitions will be available for selection. If the Ironclad workflow is completed or archived, another workflow can be launched with the same requisition ID.

Auto-Place Tags
Ironclad Early Access Program: This feature is in Early Access and may change before it is generally available. If you're interested in this feature, please reach out to your Ironclad representative or Support to see if you're eligible for EAP access.
Signature Coordinators can now prepare documents for signature quicker by using AI to detect and place signature-related tags. At the Sign step of a launched workflow or in Straight to Sign, select Auto-place tags. Ironclad detects and places blank signature, name, date, title, and initials tags for each signer. You can then move, resize, delete, reassign, or change the type of any AI-placed tag, just as you would for a manually placed tag.
While it’s running, a progress bar will appear that shows the tags being placed, signer by signer. Auto-placed tags carry a small sparkle badge so you can tell them apart from manually placed signatures.
Auto-placing a tag won’t place prefilled, read-only, or workflow data fields. The agent also won’t tag a document that doesn’t contain a signature block.
An admin must enable the feature for users under Company Settings > Ironclad AI > AI Features.

Attach Static Files to Workflow Emails
You can now upload static reference files in Workflow Designer and attach them to counterparty form request emails and custom emails sent at the Create, Review, and Sign stages. For example, include an agreement that a counterparty needs to read before completing an intake form, without hosting the file at a public URL.
Upload up to five PDF, DOC, or DOCX files per email, with a maximum of 10 MB per file and 15 MB total for uploaded files. These files remain unchanged by workflow responses and are separate from signature packet documents.
