Ramp Integration Settings – Ironclad

The Ramp integration connects procurement requests in Ramp with contract review in Ironclad. This article goes over where you can manage settings that control the Ramp integration.

Use Case

You’re a Ramp admin who needs to configure the Ironclad Ramp integration to your organization’s specifications.

Prerequisites

Features	Ironclad API
Connected Systems	Ramp Procurement
Packages	Replace this text with the names of any required packages (such as SAP Procurement Automation) if applicable.
Permissions	You must be a Ramp Admin.

Release: This article describes features and functionality planned for our November release. Some features may not be available until November 5, 2026.

Enable/Access: The Ironclad Ramp integration must be set up before accessing the Settings in Ramp. Learn more about setting up the Ironclad Ramp integration in the Ramp Help Center. team.

Access Ramp Settings

Note:

Settings for the Ironclad Ramp integration are controlled in Ramp.

To access the Ironclad Ramp integration settings:

Sign in to Ramp using your admin credentials.
Click the Company page in the left side panel.
Select Integrations from the dropdown list page search bar.

Search for Ironclad in the Integrations page search bar.
Select the Ironclad card.
Click Settings in the upper right corner.
Toggle your settings on or off as needed. Settings will update automatically.

Configure the Ironclad Ramp integration

There are four configurable settings in Ramp that control contracts, Ramp approval requirements, Ironclad workflow cancellation, and Ironclad comments.

Setting	Description
Automatically import contracts from Ironclad	ON: Imported contracts can be edited in Ramp and changes sync back to Ironclad. OFF: Imported contracts can be edited in Ramp, but changes won’t sync back to Ironclad.
Wait on Ironclad “Archive” step to move to next approver	ON: Ramp will move to the next approver only after Ironclad’s “Archive” step is complete. OFF: Ramp will move on to the next approver even if the “Archive” step isn’t complete.
Reject pending Ramp requests when Ironclad workflows are cancelled	ON: Ramp will automatically reject a pending request when its linked Ironclad workflow is cancelled. OFF: Ramp won’t automatically reject pending requests when the linked Ironclad workflow is cancelled.
Sync Ironclad comments to activity feed	ON: Mirrors comments from Ironclad workflows to the Ramp activity feed. OFF: Doesn’t mirror comments from Ironclad workflows to the Ramp activity feed.

Manually sync Ramp to Ironclad

You also have the option to manually sync Ironclad workflow templates to Ramp. Ramp automatically syncs on an hourly basis, but if you need to trigger an immediate sync, click Sync workflow templates.

Disable the Ironclad integration

To disable the Ironclad Ramp integration:

Click Disable Ironclad integration under Danger zone.

Click Disable on the confirmation modal.

You can always re-enable the Ironclad Ramp integration in the future.
