Welcome to What's New in Ironclad: January 2026! This article highlights Ironclad’s new feature releases and existing feature updates for January 2026. The following features will be available on January 15th. We adhere to a bi-quarterly schedule, delivering new features twice a quarter.
January’s release will empower you to proactively manage your portfolio with insights at your fingertips, including the ability to easily find information about your contracts and track renewals with new AI features. This release will also save you time from context-switching across the various tools you use to collaborate and work your contracts with new integrations.
Want to see a summary of all of the features included in this release? Check out the Release Summary located at the bottom of this page.
Workflow Activity Summary
You can generate an AI summary of your workflows and records. You can choose whether to view a summary of actions that occurred since you last viewed the contract workflow or from its creation. The summary is based on data from the Activity Feed and document revisions and is personalized to each user. You can also access previously generated summaries for reference.

Launch Renewal from Workflow
You can now launch a renewal workflow directly from the contract you’re reviewing, allowing you to efficiently start the process without navigating away or re-entering data. The new renewal workflow will be pre-filled with data from the original contract, saving you hours of wasted time and reducing manual entry errors.
Additionally, the renewal workflow is automatically connected to the contract family, ensuring all contracts are appropriately linked and organized. The entity from the original contract is also pre-filled in the renewal workflow, so all contracts roll up to the correct entity.

Edit Ironclad Contracts in Google Docs or Word Online
You can open and edit Ironclad contracts in Google Docs or Microsoft Word Online. Opening a document in Google Docs or Word Online from the Ironclad Editor automatically creates a draft so you can stay synced while working in your preferred platform.
While that draft is open, Ironclad shows you:
- Who’s editing
- When they opened the draft
- Where they’re editing
- Which version of the document they’re editing
Teams can collaborate on drafts in real-time with comments and suggestions. They can also opt to edit independently in Ironclad Editor before syncing their final edits into the document.

Autosave Launch Form for Failed Workflow Launches
A draft of the launch form will now be autosaved when a launch fails due to server, formula, or other errors. This allows you to retry the launch without re-entering your information. If the issue persists, you can update and republish your workflow configuration, then relaunch using the saved draft with the latest version.
This update applies to workflows launched through Ironclad CLM and Salesforce embedded launch.
