Guided AI Prompts in Jurist
Jurist now includes guided prompt experiences designed to simplify prompt engineering for legal professionals. You’ll see steps and explanations for crafting effective prompts tailored to your objectives. Instead of guessing at what the right questions are or how to phrase them, you’ll have clear, structured guidance that helps you frame issues the way other legal professionals think about them.
We’re starting with file summarization, with a few more guided prompting experiences in the works for early September:
- Review and Analyze Agreements
- Redline Based on Playbooks
- Compare Documents

Redlining Full Documents With Precedents and Playbooks in Jurist
ENABLE/ACCESS: This feature is currently in early access. To use this functionality, please reach out to your Ironclad account team.
You can now upload contracts into Jurist and have it take a first pass at redlining the entire contract in just a few minutes. Jurist provides explanations for the reasoning behind each redline so you can make informed decisions as you accept, reject, or edit the suggestions. Longer contracts provide a summary view of proposed changes to minimize review fatigue.

Signature Packet Review
You can now preview the documents in your signature packet in the exact order your counterparty will see them, while in the Review step. This helps ensure accuracy and increase confidence before sending for review or signature.
All users with workflow access (participants, users, and roles) can view the packet’s document order and see what is included or excluded during the Review step. Previously, it only showed the draft documents (generated from template or uploaded as the main document from the counterparty), and not any attachments that are configured to be in the signature packet.

Clause text, including all variations, now appears in full when downloading a workflow configuration template. We’ve also made minor usability improvements to enhance the overall experience when managing clauses.

Reset Approvals by Template
You can now control when approvals reset based on more specific criteria. Instead of triggering approvals for any draft update, you can choose to trigger only when certain templated documents are redlined. This is especially helpful if your current trigger is set to “Draft documents update” and you want more control.
If you're a workflow admin, update your workflow’s Review tab in Workflow Designer to use this new setting.

Improved AI Model for Out-of-the-Box Property Extraction
We’ve improved the AI model that powers the extraction of our 19 out-of-the-box (OOTB) properties. While there’s no change to the UI, this update aims to improve extraction accuracy for users running Data Classification projects through Smart Import or Run AI suggestions.
Release: Run AI is now called Extract Metadata. As of the March 2026 release, this feature has a new name to better reflect what it does: extract metadata from existing repository records. The underlying capability remains the same, and users can still extract all supported fields or choose specific properties and clauses for a given run.
This change only affects OOTB properties and does not impact custom property configurations. Once the new model is in place, you may notice changes in predicted values. For example, if you run AI suggestions on a contract where you have previously Smart Imported and have not confirmed the value, the output may update based on the improved model.

- US
- UK
- Canada

Entities
Entities are automatically available to most customers. You will see the Entities tab if you are an administrator or have access through your group permissions. If you do not see the Entities tab and are an administrator, please reach out to your Ironclad representative.
The following functionality has been added to entities:
Enhanced Entity Data Access in Workflow API
IT admins can now access all of the properties from the entity profile directly through the Workflow API. Previously, retrieving full entity details required a separate call to the Entities API. This enhancement streamlines integration workflows by enabling more efficient data syncing across systems.

Visual Contract Hierarchy for Entities
You can now view contracts associated with an entity in a hierarchy view, giving you a clear visual representation of how those contracts relate to one another. This helps you quickly understand the scope and structure of the contracting relationship, whether it’s a core agreement like an MSA or supporting documents such as NDAs, SOWs, or amendments.
Previously, you could only see contracts in a flat list, making it difficult to grasp the full context. With this update, the hierarchy view provides immediate clarity, especially for complex deals that evolve over time.

You can now configure parent-child relationships between entities to view the full contracting history with a company and its subsidiaries. This visibility helps you identify shared terms, negotiate better discounts, and approach deals with a complete understanding of the broader relationship.
From the Entity Family modal, you can link an entity to others to form an entity family. Parent and child entities represent a more specific relationship where the entities are directly connected and should be evaluated as a group. Child entities are typically considered sub-entities of the parent.

Improvements to Obligation Management
We’ve made several updates to improve your experience managing obligations. These changes focus on usability, clarity, and consistency, helping you more confidently track and manage post-signature commitments:
- You can now open obligation details directly on the contract page from the Obligation dashboard’s right-hand panel.
- Updated the header text in the obligation edit drawer from “Edit Information” to “Edit Obligation” for improved clarity and consistency.
- Resolved a bug where deleting an obligation incorrectly triggered an “unsaved changes” pop-up. Users will now only see the appropriate delete confirmation modal.
- Updated the delete toast message from “Record deleted” to “Obligation Deleted” to reduce confusion and better reflect the action taken.View Technical Details

The Open in Salesforce button is supported in email notifications for:
- Reviewing notifications
- Adding Participants to a workflow
- Pausing workflows
- Resuming workflows
- Adding comments
- @mentions
- Reminders
The Open in Salesforce button is not yet supported in email notifications for:
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- Archive
- Bulk reassignments from the Dashboard
- Setting OOO status emails to delegates
- Importing records
- Workflow creation
- Signatures
Note: The Open in Salesforce button opens a link in Salesforce. You will need a Salesforce license to access the workflow or contract.

Jurist AI Assistant
| Question | Answer |

| How can I access Jurist if it's not currently in my instance? | If you join a Jurist trial, you have the opportunity to test it. You can reach out to your Ironclad point of contact to learn more about trial options and live demos. |
| Is Jurist included with standard Ironclad plans? | Jurist is an add-on feature to standard Ironclad plans, not included by default. Please reach out to your Ironclad point of contact for more information. |

AI and Contract Analysis
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can I use Run AI without a Jurist license? | Yes, Run AI functionality is available without Jurist as part of standard Ironclad AI features. |

| Can AI automatically run on contracts when they're completed or archived? | Currently, you need to manually run AI against contracts once they're added to the repository. Automatic AI processing is being considered by the product team for future releases. |
| How do I re-scan contracts for better AI results? | Go into your repository, select the contracts you'd like to review, and run AI against those contracts. The AI will extract and update all previously extracted information without overwriting manually updated data. |
| When will AI property extraction be available during workflow launch? | This feature is currently under analysis and development, but no specific release date has been announced yet. |
| Can I configure AI-detected clauses for specific contract types only? | Yes, you should be able to toggle AI properties on and off in your AI property workspace, allowing you to enable certain detections only for specific contract types. |

Entities
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| How does the system handle corporate hierarchies and subsidiaries? | Corporate hierarchy support for internal subsidiaries and affiliates is on the roadmap.
