Capture Date Signature Tags as Metadata

Expanded Functionality

Previously, users with access to Workflow Designer could assign a signer to a text, email, or boolean property. Now users can also assign a signer to date properties. Once assigned, the information provided by the signer will be captured as metadata and used in Ironclad Repository, Insights, and more. This is available for Ironclad Signature, and supported 3rd party eSignature providers.

An Ironclad admin is building a workflow and wants to capture the date of signature and sync them back to their CRM where they maintain their contract's record.

Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) AI Properties Configuration

Expanded Functionality

You now have the ability to turn off out-of-the-box (OOTB) AI properties that are not relevant to your needs. Previously, all 19 OOTB properties were enabled by default, which could result in irrelevant results. With this new feature, you have greater control, enabling you to focus only on the properties that matter to your business.

Updated Contract Families UI and New Contract Relationship Type (Amendment)

Expanded Functionality

We have refreshed the Contract Families view to better represent the contract hierarchy at a glance. You can now see their contract family in a tree view, making it easier to understand the contract hierarchy.

We're also introducing a new contract relationship type: amendment. Contract family amendments enable Legal and Operations users to designate executed contracts as amendments. This makes it easy to identify which contracts are amendments to parent contracts within a contract family.

You can designate a contract as an amendment through three methods: the contract family view in the UI, the metadata import functionality, or the API.

• The experience of editing contract families and related records has changed. Previously, you could see contracts in the family while editing related records. With the new user experience, this is no longer possible. Instead, you can only view and edit the related records list. To see child or parent records in the contract family, you must navigate to the contract family tab, which requires leaving the edit window for related records.

Ironclad's New Dashboard

We’re excited to share that a new Ironclad Dashboard is here! We’ve redesigned the dashboard you know and love, making it more intuitive for new users while offering even greater power for experienced admins.

The new dashboard experience will be turned on for all customers on both demo and production instances on November 7th, 2024, at no additional cost. We will continue to support the current dashboard until this date. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Faster Filters
  Quickly find what you need with five new dedicated filter buttons for the most commonly used contract properties. For advanced searches, the dashboard now allows you to create custom filters with ease, covering both simple tasks and complex queries.
• Streamlined Custom Views
  We made it quicker to save custom views to focus on the contracts that matter most to you. Adjust columns with drag-and-drop, apply filters, and reorder your custom view section more easily.
• Better Bulk Actions
  Take advantage of improved bulk action capabilities that let you manage multiple contracts with fewer clicks.

Missing Start/End Times for Dashboard Export 'Approval Requests’

Resolved Bug

Previously, if you exported approval requests from the Dashboard, some start and end timestamps would by missing. We have now resolved a few of the instances that lead to missing timestamps.

Rotating Internal Role Assignments in Workflow Designer

Expanded Functionality

You can configure internal role assignments such as: Internal Form Recipients, Approvers, Signature Coordinators, Company Signers, and Archivers to rotate through users or group assignments automatically. This enables you to manage your team’s bandwidth without manually intervening.

A Legal Ops manager wants to ensure all new requests are rotated through the Legal team. They configure the workflow configuration’s approvals to Rotate assignment automatically. The workflows are automatically assigned to members of the Legal team, rotating through the group.

Salesforce Two Way Sync

Expanded Functionality

You can now map attributes between Salesforce and Ironclad, allowing updates in either application to stay synchronized.

Additionally, now mapped fields that have a null value in Salesforce will update Ironclad to say in sync.

• Currently, information can only be updated in Salesforce and flows down to Ironclad to update. If the data was updated in Ironclad, it would get overwritten by the previous Salesforce data.
• The following field types are supported for two-way sync. If the Sync Direction box is grayed out, that indicates that the field type is not supported:
  • String
  • Date
  • Email
  • Address
  • Monetary Amount
  • Number
  • Boolean
  • Custom Fields
  • Picklist

Expanded Functionality

Users with access to Workflow Designer can now assign a signer to boolean, number, and email properties. Once assigned, the information provided by the signer will be captured as metadata and used in Ironclad Repository, Insights, and more. This is available for Ironclad Signature, and supported 3rd party eSignature providers.

An Ironclad admin is building a workflow and wants to capture their signers’ emails and sync them back to their CRM where they maintain their contract's record. The admin wants to capture the signer's emergency contact information when they are signing in addition to their contact information captured on the launch form.

French Canadian Translation Support

Expanded Functionality

Users can now set their preferred language to French Canadian in their Ironclad Personal Profile. The preferred language only applies to the user’s personal experience and emails. All admin features will not be impacted.

Salesforce Integration Managed Package Minor Upgrade

Enhanced Security Controls

Resolved a minor security vulnerability that could potentially occur when lightning:messageChannel had its isExposed attribute set to True. The vulnerability was addressed by setting isExposed to False, ensuring that access to the Lightning Message Service API is restricted.

"Awaiting Signature" Default Dashboard View

Expanded Functionality

You now have a default view on your Dashboard that shows you any workflows waiting on your signature. This will help reduce overall time to signature by (1) reducing the number of clicks a signer must take to start signing and (2) reducing the number of signature requests that get lost in inbox clutter.

Workflows also have a new property that allows you to filter your Dashboard by workflows where (1) they are assigned a signer and (2) they have not signed and (3) the signature packet is out for signature.

Unified Normalization Across AI Playbooks and Smart Import

Expanded Functionality

We've unified the normalization logic across Smart Import and AI Playbooks. This ensures consistent predictions throughout the app. As part of this unification, we've implemented several updates:

Governing Law:

• Added support for parsing jurisdiction even with newline characters (e.g., "State of\nMaryland" → "Maryland")

Agreement Date & Expiration Date:

• Stricter parsing to prevent invalid formats (e.g., removing trailing characters)
• Improved date inference to standardize format (e.g., "23/07/2009" → 2009-07-23)

Bug Fix: Signers Unable to Edit Signatures and Initial Tag Values in Safari

Bug Fix: Some Browser Extensions Blocking Signing with Ironclad Signature

In some situations, signers would receive an "Unable to sign" error when using Ironclad Signature in a browser that prevented 3rd party scripts from loading. This has been resolved.

Customize CTP Confirmation Email Subject Line

Expanded Functionality

Embedded Clickwrap (CTP) customers can now customize the subject lines of emails sent after a signer accepts an embedded Clickwrap agreement.

Previously, you could modify the confirmation email's body using HTML. You could not modify the subject line. With this release, you can now provide a different subject line.

This is available in the API, JavaScript Snippet, and React SDK. This is not available via the UI.
