You've got Contracts that are ready for the world, you probably have others that aren't so much. Maybe you're still working on the wording or maybe you're planning to unveil the new Contract some time in the future. Don't worry! We don't put your Contracts out until you give us the say-so.
Tip: Making a Contract public is different than publishing a Contract. Publishing a Contract only locks in a Version of the Contract: any changes you make after you publish mean you need a new version. Making a Contract public, on the other hand puts it on your Legal Center, makes it available to add to groups, and makes it publicly available via a URL. If you make a Contract public when it is still in Draft status, it won't appear in your Legal Center until you publish it.
When you're ready, all you need to do to publish a Contract to your hosted Legal Center is to set it to Public. (You can find a link to your Legal Center here.) Note: You also have to make a Contract public before you can use it in a Group.
Use these steps:
-
Choose the Contracts icon from the menu on the left side of the screen.
-
Find the Contract you want to make public and click the name of the Contract at the top of the card. Tip: Don't click the Edit Draft, New Version, or menu button at the bottom of the card. Clicking the name of the Contract is the only way to get into its properties.
-
In the panel on the right, toggle the Publish to your Legal Center and Groups? switch on.
Tip: As long as you're on this screen, you can also add tags and set other properties on the Contract.
