Display Form Sections Exclusively During Archive Step
You can now configure form sections to only display at the Archive step.
If a section is configured to display only at the Archive step, it will not display on the Launch Form. To access and complete this section, click View and edit properties during the Archive step.
Release: Starting October 7, the Additional Properties setting in the Archive step of Workflow Designer will be replaced with a new Archive option. With this change, the Additional Properties section will be deprecated, and workflow owners will instead designate entire form sections to appear only in the Archive step.
Any properties previously configured as Additional Properties will be preserved and automatically migrated as form questions in the new Archive section. These UI changes will be visible on October 7, two days before the regularly scheduled release. No action is required, and no data will be lost.

Automatic Cleanup of Comments and Tracked Changes When Uploading Template
When you upload a template in Workflow Designer, comments and tracked changes are now automatically removed from the template. This eliminates the need to return to Word to manually accept or reject changes before using the template.
You will receive a warning if the template has been modified during upload. You can then choose to proceed with the automatically cleaned version or revert and handle the changes in Word yourself.

The following functionality has been added to entities:
Connect Entities to Contracts Using Readable ID During Import
You can now use an entity’s readable Ironclad ID (for example, ENTITY-11) when linking entities to records through metadata import. Previously, this process could only be done using the entity UUID (Record ID).

Enhanced Obligations Management
We’ve improved the user experience when editing obligations in Ironclad to make it more intuitive, consistent, and error-resistant:
- The Obligations Edit panel has been redesigned for better clarity and visual consistency.
- The Entity field is now automatically derived from the parent contract, and is uneditable to maintain data integrity.
- The None obligation type has been renamed to Other. A corresponding data migration has been performed to update existing records, making it easier to search, filter, and stay consistent.

Salesforce Bulk API Support in Ironclad
We now support Salesforce Bulk API for faster, large-scale data transfers. You can now asynchronously insert, update, upsert, or delete thousands of records at once. Once you’ve submitted your request, the operation is processed in the background, freeing you up to continue working while reducing the load on real-time API limits.
The Bulk API is ideal for operations involving more than 2,000 records, such as:
- Migrating historical contract data
- Performing mass updates or synchronizations
- Exporting large datasets into a data warehouse for reporting and analytics

Salesforce Email Notification Links
We’ve added an Open in Salesforce button to Ironclad system-generated email notifications for Salesforce-integrated workflows. Clicking this button directs Sales users to view active workflows or executed contracts in Salesforce instead of Ironclad. This allows users to stay fully connected to the contract process without leaving their native environment.
The Open in Salesforce button is supported in email notifications for:
- @mentions
- Adding comments
- Adding Participants to a workflow
- Pausing workflows
- Reminders
- Resuming workflows
- Reviewing notifications
The Open in Salesforce button is not yet supported in email notifications for:
- Archive
- Bulk reassignments from the Dashboard
- Importing records
- Setting OOO status emails to delegates
- Signatures
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- Workflow creation

Manage Webhooks in Ironclad
You can now deactivate and reactivate webhooks directly in Ironclad. You can also subscribe to notifications for webhook failures.
Ironclad will automatically deactivate webhooks that fail consistently, helping keep your workflows running smoothly without manual intervention. Webhooks will be deactivated (but not deleted) when recipients reject them at least 100 times over 7 consecutive days without any successes. Existing webhooks are subject to these new deactivation rules. If you have questions about deactivated webhooks, please contact Support.

The Audit Log Report contains log data starting from May 24, 2025. If you need to retrieve logs prior to that date, you can export them via our API, which provides access to data going back to August 14, 2023.
