Describe a contract request or upload a file in Ironclad Assistant to find an eligible workflow before completing the launch form.
Use Case
You need to start a contract workflow but do not know which workflow to choose. For example, you have a counterparty document and want help deciding whether to use an NDA, amendment, purchase, or another workflow.
Conversational Intake helps you identify the right existing workflow. After you confirm the workflow, the existing Intake Assistant can analyze your uploaded documents and suggest answers for the launch form.

Find and Launch a Workflow
To find and launch a workflow using conversational intake:
- Open Ironclad Assistant.
- Enter a description of the contract or business request you want to start.
- Note: You can describe the situation in plain language. Include details that distinguish the request, such as the counterparty, contract type, whether the request is new or a renewal, or whether you have a document to use.
- (Optional) Upload a contract or supporting file.
- Note: The Intake Agent may use the file and your description to identify the workflow that best matches your request.
- Review the workflow suggestion or suggestions.
- Review the reason for each suggestion and select the confirmation control for the workflow you want to use.
- Note: You must confirm the workflow before Ironclad proceeds. The Intake Agent does not launch a workflow simply because it suggested one.
- Continue based on the selected workflow:
- Intake Agent is enabled: Ironclad begins Intake Agent processing and shows the processing status in Agent. After processing finishes, Ironclad directs you to the existing Intake Agent experience to review the launch form and uploaded document.
- Intake Agent is not enabled: Ironclad directs you to the workflow's launch form.
- Review and complete the launch form.
- Submit the launch form when all required information is complete.
The Intake Agent will only suggest workflows that are available to you. If you ask for a workflow that your role cannot access, the Intake Agent does not recommend or launch it.
Ask an admin for access if you need the workflow. You can also manually select from the workflows available to you.
