Welcome to What's New in Ironclad: March 2026! This article highlights Ironclad’s new feature releases and existing feature updates for March 2026. The following features will be available on March 5th. We adhere to a bi-quarterly schedule, delivering new features twice a quarter.
March’s release will give you more precise control over contract data and faster, higher‑quality insights by letting you decide exactly which metadata AI extracts, flag and fix questionable values in a focused verification queue, and see contract relationships at a glance—backed by Snowflake data sharing, privacy‑focused emails, and updated Salesforce managed-package components that keep your systems and stakeholders in sync without extra manual work.
Want to see a summary of all of the features included in this release? Check out the Release Summary at the bottom of this page.
Extract Metadata
We’ve renamed Run AI to Extract Metadata to better reflect what this feature does in your workflow, and we’ve also expanded its capabilities to give you more control over which metadata properties and clauses are extracted from your repository contracts.
You can select the specific AI-supported properties and clauses (OOTB and custom) that you want Extract Metadata to populate for that batch. This helps you avoid extracting irrelevant metadata, and ensures that the metadata you do extract aligns with the business question being asked.

Flag and Fix Properties with Focused Verification
We’ve added two connected capabilities to help teams clean up metadata faster:
- End users can flag metadata properties for review directly in a record. When a user sees a value that looks incorrect, they can now click to flag that specific property and add a short note about what’s incorrect instead of reaching out to the owner.
- Reviewers get a single queue to review and fix those flags. All flagged properties now appear in a focused verification workspace that opens the relevant document and flagged field automatically. Here, they can quickly confirm the value, update it, or dismiss the flag.

Access Contract Family from Dashboard
You can now see at a glance when a contract is part of a broader relationship directly from the Dashboard and Workflow pages via a new Contract Family pill. This indicator lets you immediately understand whether a record belongs to a larger family (such as an MSA with SOWs and amendments) and click through to view the full hierarchy. By surfacing this context in primary views, you can make faster, more informed decisions without hunting for related records or leaving your current workflow.

Export SDP Data with Snowflake DataShare
Security & Data Pro (SDP) customers can enable Snowflake data sharing to access their Ironclad data directly in Snowflake. With this release, all data currently available through the SDP Data Export API will be available via Snowflake.
This feature allows customers to analyze their existing Snowflake environment without building or maintaining custom ingestion pipelines.
Additional datasets will be added to our data sharing feature in future releases.

Ironclad Salesforce Managed Package Updates
We’ve added four key features to the Salesforce Managed Package. These updates improve signature coordination, workflow visibility, configuration stability, and alignment with Salesforce’s latest authentication standards.
Workflow Signature Management Support
Coordinate signatures directly from Salesforce using the Ironclad Next Steps component. This component enables you to start the signature phase after approvals are complete. You’ll also be able to send and cancel signature packets using the Send Signature Packet and Cancel Signature Request APIs.
Turn Tracking History Component
The Salesforce Managed Package will include a custom Turn History Lightning Web component that will be added to the Ironclad Workflow record page. This component displays related turn records in a timeline view to provide a clear and intuitive overview of workflow activity.
Workflow Launch Group API Name Metadata Decoupling
Lightning components that reference Workflow Launch Groups (WLGs) now store the WLG API Name (DeveloperName) in FlexiPage metadata, instead of the org‑specific record ID. This update means that pages are less likely to break across environments or after upgrades.
Ironclad ID Field Addition
The Ironclad Contract and Workflow objects now include a new Ironclad ID field that can be leveraged when viewing or creating records from Ironclad to avoid creating duplicates. This ID field syncs into Salesforce for contracts and workflows, allowing for better data mapping between Ironclad and Salesforce records.

Clickwrap Workflows - Multiple Checkboxes Support
You can now configure Clickwrap workflows to require explicit acceptance for each individual document instead of using a single consolidated checkbox for all agreements. By enabling the Require acceptance for each document setting in Workflow Designer, signers see a separate checkbox per document, helping you meet stricter compliance and consent requirements without creating and maintaining multiple workflows.
This brings CLM Clickwrap workflows closer to legacy Ironclad Clickwrap (Pactsafe) behavior, easing migration and reducing operational overhead.

Enable Privacy-Focused Emails
Admins can now enable privacy-focused emails to keep sensitive contract information out of email inboxes while still notifying users when action is required.
When privacy-focused emails are enabled:
- Notification emails won’t include customer-entered data, workflow titles, document comments, or contract attachments.
- Recipients will receive a short, generic summary and a secure link that prompts them to sign in to Ironclad and view the full details.
This setting is optional for all customers. Admins can choose whether to use privacy-focused mode or not.

Refine Contract Understanding with Conversational Search
On March 19, we're adding Conversational Search to our suite of AI tools, agents, and features. Instead of relying solely on filters and exact keywords, users can:
- Ask natural-language questions about their contracts and surface the most relevant records and clauses through semantic understanding.
- Use AI-suggested searches that automatically translate plain-language prompts (e.g., “agreements expiring in the next 90 days”) into the right filters.
- Get answers that are backed by the underlying contracts, with in-context previews so you can quickly validate key terms before acting.
Once enabled by an admin, users will be able to access this feature from supported search surfaces. Conversational Search respects existing workflows, record, and group permissions. Users will only see records and data they are already authorized to access.
