This article goes over the Snowflake integration for Ironclad. You can connect Snowflake with Ironclad to centralize Security & Data Pro (SDP) export data in your own data warehouse for analytics, auditing, and reporting.
Use Case
Using Snowflake with Ironclad is ideal when your security, data, and analytics teams need reliable access to Ironclad data in the same place as your other business‑critical systems (CRM, ERP, billing, HR).Instead of manually exporting CSV files or building one‑off pipelines, admins can:
- Sync SDP export data (such as workflow activity and audit logs) directly into Snowflake via a governed data share.
- Use Snowflake to join Ironclad data with other sources for dashboards and reporting.
- Support compliance and security reviews by analyzing audit events with your existing SIEM and BI tools.

Snowflake Data Share Overview
Warning:
- Data sharing is not retrospective, and begins from the date the SDP add-on is enabled in your Ironclad instance.
- New data may take up to 24 hours to appear in Snowflake.
At a high-level, the Snowflake Data Share works by following this process:
- Ironclad exposes supported SDP export data via a Snowflake data share tied to your Snowflake Account ID.
- Once Snowflake receives that share, your admin accepts it, and creates a database from the shared data.
- Your team can then query Ironclad data in Snowflake and join it with other datasets for analytics, dashboards, and governance use cases.
Once configured, syncing is automated, and no recurring CSV exports or manual uploads from Ironclad are required.
Connect the Snowflake Integration to Ironclad
Step 1: Enable Snowflake Data Share in Ironclad.
- In Ironclad, click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Click Company Settings > Settings.
- Under the Security and Data section, toggle on the Enable Snowflake DataShare setting.
- Note: If you don't see the toggle for this setting, you're likely missing the SDP entitlement or do not have permission to manage Security and Data.
- Enter your organization’s Snowflake Account ID (also known as Data Sharing Account ID) when prompted.
- Note: You can find your account ID by following these instructions in the Snowflake documentation.
- Click Confirm to save your settings.
After saving, Ironclad starts sharing supported SDP export data to a Snowflake data share associated with your account ID.
Note: Data shared from Ironclad into Snowflake is read-only. Changes in Snowflake don’t sync back to Ironclad.
Step 2: Accept the Ironclad data share in Snowflake.
Next, a Snowflake admin must accept the incoming share:
- Sign in to Snowflake with an account that can manage data shares.
- Open the data sharing area and locate the incoming share from Ironclad.
- Note: The name and provider will be configured as part of your rollout.
- Accept the share.
- Create a database from the data share.
- Assign appropriate roles and access permissions to users.
Once complete, Ironclad data will be available as read-only tables within your Snowflake account.
After the database is created, you can run queries on the Ironclad schemas to confirm access.
Supported Contract Metadata
Note: Snowflake Data Share includes the same data that is exposed via SDP Data Export, with additional coverage planned over time.
The Snowflake Data Share currently focuses on:
- Workflow activity data, such as lifecycle events, approvals, signatures, and status changes for cycle time, throughput, and SLA analysis.
- Audit log events, such as user and system actions to support governance and compliance reporting.
For a detailed, up-to-date list of datasets and fields, refer to our Data Exports details in the Developer Docs.
Release: The following features and functionalities will go live on June 11, 2026. To learn more about what's included in our June release, refer to What's New in Ironclad: June 2026
We're expanding the data share to include contract metadata such as:
- Workflow/Record properties
- Obligations
- Entities
Contract text (captured through OCR) is available via the Early Access Program (EAP)
