Renewal briefs are part of Renewal Agent, Ironclad's set of tools for contracts approaching renewal, and are only available once a contract is within 90 days of expiration.

Availability
Name Change: Starting October 8, 2026, Ironclad Assistant is becoming Ironclad Agent. The name is changing to reflect its expanded ability to help you access contracts and workflows, ask questions, and take action with specialized agents. Your existing access carries over.
Renewal briefs are automatically prepared for eligible contracts that are within 90 days of expiration. You can ask Ironclad Agent (formerly Ironclad Assistant) to generate a renewal brief for any contract outside of the automatic 90-day window. The 90-day window applies to automatic renewal brief availability, and doesn't limit on-demand generation through Ironclad Agent.
Access and Cost
Starting September 1, 2026, the first time a renewal brief is viewed, it consumes 10 AI credits. Learn more about AI credits at Ironclad.
The 10-credit charge is applied once per company as a whole, not per user.
Once that first view has been charged, the renewal brief is available to everyone at the company. Subsequent views by any user won't consume additional credits.
