Summary
This article walks you through how to create a global condition in both Conditions Manager and Workflow Designer. To learn more about local and global conditions and how they differ, refer to Local and Global Conditions.
Use Case
Classics Inc. manages multiple contract workflows across teams such as Sales, Procurement, and Legal, and wants a more consistent way to apply the same business logic across its agreements. To avoid recreating identical conditions in each workflow configuration, the legal operations team creates a global condition that can be reused wherever needed. For example, they define a condition that identifies when a counterparty is based in the United States, then apply that condition across multiple workflows to show the correct governing law language, route contracts for the right approvals, or display region-specific form questions. By using a global condition, Classics Inc. can centralize logic, reduce maintenance, and ensure the same rule is applied consistently across its contracting processes.
