Summary
This article walks you through how to create an obligation property. Obligation properties are the fields you use to collect and track information on an obligation. You can create obligation properties in Data Manager when the predefined properties do not cover the information you need to track. To learn more about obligation properties, refer to Obligations.
Use Case
At Classics Inc., a legal operations manager wants to track whether a vendor has submitted proof of insurance for a contract obligation. Because that detail is not part of the predefined obligation properties, they create a new obligation property in Data Manager. This helps the team capture the same information every time they create that type of obligation.
