This article will walk you through how to cancel a workflow in Ironclad.
You can cancel workflows in two ways: from the workflow overview page or individually/in bulk from the dashboard.
Any workflow participant can cancel a workflow that is not completed. Only Admin users can cancel completed workflows.
NOTE
If a workflow is cancelled, this action is irreversible and a new workflow must be started. If you think that a workflow could ever be resumed, we recommend that you use our Pause and Resume workflows function, which allows workflows to be resumed after a pause.
From the Workflow Overview Page
- Click on the workflow you want to cancel. A summary window displays on the right.
- In the summary window, click Open overview page indicated by a two arrows icon.
- Click the three stacked dots located next to the workflow’s name.
- Click Cancel Workflow.
- Add a comment describing why you are canceling the workflow .
- Click Cancel Workflow. The workflow owner is notified unless they are the one canceling it.
Individually/In Bulk on the Dashboard
- Click the Dashboard tab, and then select the workflow you want to cancel. A menu displays at the bottom of the window.
- Click Change Status > Cancel Workflow. This cannot be undone.
- Add a comment describing why you are canceling the workflow.
- Click Cancel Workflow. The workflow owner is notified unless they are the one canceling it.
