The Ramp integration connects procurement requests in Ramp with contract review in Ironclad. After an admin configures the integration, Ramp can launch Ironclad workflows from procurement approval policies, display contract-review updates, and retrieve executed documents for the associated purchase order.
Use Case
Your procurement team collects a software purchase request in Ramp, and your legal team reviews the agreement in Ironclad. Add an Ironclad workflow to the Spend Program’s approval policy so the request information carries into contract review. Procurement users can follow workflow progress in Ramp and access the executed documents from the approved purchase order.

How the Ramp Integration Works
Employees submit purchase requests through a Ramp Spend Program. A Spend Program is the request form and approval policy used to manage expenses such as travel, company events, or software procurement. Learn more about Ramp Spend Programs.
An admin adds an Ironclad workflow step to the approval policy and maps Ramp request questions to Ironclad workflow questions. Ramp launches the workflow when the purchase request reaches that step. Connecting the accounts alone doesn’t configure the approval policy or question mappings. Learn more about adding Ironclad workflows to your approval policy (URL).
Next, the purchase request sends information into Ironclad. Legal and other workflow participants can review the agreement and complete any approvals or signatures in Ironclad.
Procurement users can open the linked Ironclad workflow from Ramp. Ramp’s Activity tab displays Ironclad’s approvals, status updates as the request moves from Review to Sign, and more.
Approved and signed documents are sent back to Ramp, and can be viewed under the approved purchase requests’s Contracts & documents section, in addition to a link to the Ironclad record.
By default, Ramp advances the request when an Ironclad workflow moves from Sign to Archive. An optional setting makes Ramp wait until the Archive step is complete before advancing the request to the next approver.
