Delete a Property

Summary

This article walks you through how to delete a property.

 

Use Case

At Classics Inc., a company admin removes an unused custom property from the company’s data schema. In Company Settings > Data Manager, the admin opens the property, clicks Edit, selects Delete, types DELETE, and confirms the deletion. 

 

Permissions

Permissions Only admins can delete properties, and the property must be eligible for deletion, such as a custom property with no usages.
 

Delete a Property

Deleting a property is permanent, and completely removes the property from your company’s data schema. Properties can’t be used in workflow configurations once deleted.
  1. Log into your Ironclad account.
  2. Click on your profile icon located in the top right corner of Ironclad.
  3. Click Company settings.
  4. Click Data Manager in the left panel.
  5. Click the property you want to delete.
  6. Click the Edit icon (pencil) in the top right corner of the property panel.
  7. Under Delete property, click the Delete button.
  8. Type “DELETE” as prompted by the Confirm delete? modal. 
  9. Click the Delete button. 
You should see a pop-up notification confirming your property was successfully deleted.
