Use Case
Classics Inc. wants to connect the Ironclad for Slack integration to the MCP server so they can ask Slackbot questions about their Ironclad contracts without leaving Slack. They configure the MCP connection so their sales team can ask which agreements are active, when a contract renews, or whether a signed contract includes a specific clause, and get quick answers based on data from Ironclad.

Connect Slack and Ironclad
- In Ironclad, click Company Settings > Integrations.
- Under Other Integrations, click the Slack tile.
- Click Link Account.
- If you are not logged into Slack on your device, you are prompted with a login screen.
- If you are logged into Slack on your device, an authorization screen displays.
- Select Allow to integrate Slack with Ironclad. You are redirected back to the Integrations page, and the Slack tile shows as Configured.
- In Slack, the Ironclad app is automatically added.
Configure MCP Connection
If you want to test a demo company at http://demo.ironcladapp.com/, you must connect the Slack integration to a production company at http://ironcladapp.com/. The Slack integration currently only supports MCP connections for production companies and does not yet support demo-specific MCP connections.
The EU MCP server will be available soon.
- In Slack, locate the Apps section in the sidebar on the right. Click Slackbot.
- At the bottom of the chat, click Apps indicated by a plug icon.
- Click Manage Apps. A window displays with a card for the MCP server.
- Click Connect > Continue to Ironclad Contracts.
- Select the environment you want to give Slack access to, and then click Allow access.
Slack connects with the Ironclad MCP server. You can now use Slackbot to ask questions about your contracts in Ironclad.
