Summary
This article walks you through how to ensure your email notifications are received.
Use Case
Classics Inc. uses workflow activity notifications to keep contract work moving. They realize they are not receiving those notifications, then find the emails in their spam folder and add Ironclad’s sending address and domains to their allowlist. As a result, future workflow activity notifications are delivered to the right inboxes so reviews and approvals can continue without delay.
Prerequisites
| Features | Workflow Activity Notifications |
| Permissions | Workflow activity notifications are available to users who have access to a workflow as participants, through workflow access permissions, or by being @mentioned, which grants them access to that single workflow. |
If you are not receiving Ironclad email notifications, start by checking your spam or junk folder. For Google Workspace and Gmail accounts, Ironclad emails can occasionally be filtered there instead of your inbox.
If the email is in spam or junk
If you find the message in spam or junk, take these steps to help future Ironclad notifications reach your inbox:
-
Mark the email as not spam.
In Gmail, move the email to your inbox and use the Report not spam option. This helps Gmail recognize future Ironclad notifications as safe.
-
Add Ironclad Notifications as a contact.
Create a contact using
noreply@mg.ironcladapp.com. You can use any contact name. For instructions, see Google’s guide to create a contact.
Ask your email administrator to allowlist Ironclad
If your organization uses Google Workspace or another managed email system, ask your internal email administrator to allowlist Ironclad’s sending domains and IP addresses.
