In the Ironclad for Word add-in, you can narrow down search results based on workflow metadata. Available filter properties depend on your organization’s Ironclad configuration, and may include both system fields and custom fields. This reference article goes over how filtering works in Ironclad for Word, describes each filter category and the supported operators for each data type.

How do Ironclad for Word filters work?
Each filter consists of:
- A property (e.g., Owner or End Date).
- A comparison operator (e.g., is or is not).
- A value
You can apply multiple filters at once to refine results. All filters are evaluated together.
Ironclad for Word Filter Property Categories
There are 8 filter categories:
- Workflows
- Users
- Dates
- Monetary & Numeric
- Boolean
- Properties
- Clause
- Other
Under each filter category, you’ll find a list of properties relevant to that category. The available properties and operators depend on how your Ironclad instance is configured.

- The list of available filter properties may differ between organizations.
- The operators shown depend on the data type for each field.
Additional Filter Controls
