Jurist is a legal AI assistant that can draft, edit, summarize and conduct research for any general counsel, lawyer, or legal team. It uses multiple LLMs and Conversational AI to provide you with an experience similar to chatting virtually with a colleague. It is highly trained in legal terminology, processes, and contracts.
As an administrator, you can enable Jurist for specific users within your company by managing group settings.
Use Case
At Classics Inc., the legal operations manager wants to pilot Jurist for their contract review team. The administrator logs into Ironclad, navigates to Groups, creates a new group named “Jurist Only,” edits the group to enable Jurist access, and adds the contract review team members. As a result, only the intended users gain access to Jurist, ensuring compliance and efficient contract handling.

Enable Jurist and Grant Access to Users
To enable Jurist for your users, we recommend creating a Jurist only group with the necessary permissions and adding users to it. This includes:
- Create a “Jurist Only” Group
- Edit the Group to Enable Jurist
- Add or Invite Users to the Group
Create a “Jurist Only” Group
First, you must create a dedicated group for users who should be granted Jurist access. Using a dedicated group helps you manage and audit Jurist access.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner of Ironclad, and then click Company Settings.
- Click Groups.
- Click Create Group.
- Enter “Jurist Only” as the group name.
- Save the group.
Edit the Group to Enable Jurist
Once your group is created, configure it to include Jurist access.
- Click Configure Group.
- In the Jurist dropdown, select Yes.
- Save your changes.
Add or Invite Users to the Group
Now, assign users to the group. Users added to this group will inherit Jurist access.
- Click Add Users within the “Jurist Only” group.
- Select existing users or invite new users by entering their email addresses.
- Click Add.
Result
After completing these steps, users in the “Jurist Only” group will have access to Jurist. They can now leverage the AI assistant for contract review and negotiation, while Jurist access remains restricted to only those in the designated group.
