Contract Review Agent (formerly Jurist) is a legal AI assistant that can draft, edit, summarize and conduct research for any general counsel, lawyer, or legal team. It uses multiple LLMs and conversational AI to provide you with an experience similar to chatting virtually with a colleague. It is highly trained in legal terminology, processes, and contracts.
As an administrator, you can enable Contract Review Agent for specific users within your company by managing group settings.
Use Case
At Classics Inc., the legal operations manager wants to pilot Jurist for their contract review team. The administrator logs into Ironclad, navigates to Groups, creates a new group named “Contract Review Agent Only,” edits the group to enable Contract Review Agent access, and adds the contract review team members. As a result, only the intended users gain access to Jurist, ensuring compliance and efficient contract handling.

Enable Contract Review Agent and Grant Access to Users
To enable Contract Review Agent for your users, we recommend creating a Contract Review Agent only group with the necessary permissions and adding users to it. This includes:
- Create a “Jurist Only” Group
- Edit the Group to Enable Jurist
- Add or Invite Users to the Group
Step 1: Create a “Contract Review Agent Only” Group
First, you must create a dedicated group for users who should be granted Contract Review Agent access. Using a dedicated group helps you manage and audit Jurist access.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner of Ironclad, and then click Company Settings.
- Click Groups.
- Click Create Group in the top right corner.
- Enter “Contract Review Agent Only” as the group name.
- Click Create.
Step 2: Configure Group Settings
Once your group is created, configure it to include Contract Review Agent access:

Click Configure Group in the top right corner.
- Set the following settings to Yes:

Contract Review Agent: Should users be able to access and chat with Contract Review Agent?

- (Optional) If you want group members to land on the Contract Review Agent page when they log into Ironclad, set the Contract Review Agent Only setting to Yes.
- Click Save in the top right corner.
Step 3: Add or Invite Users to the Group
Now, assign users to the group. Users added to this group will inherit Contract Review Agent access:

Click Add Users in the top right corner.
- Select existing users or invite new users by entering their email addresses.
- Click Add.
After completing these steps, users in the “Contract Review Only” group will have access to the Contract Review Agent.
