Commenting in the Activity Feed is a great way to track your progress and communicate with other participants in your workflow.
This is how a comment would appear in the Activity Feed on your workflow.
Adding a comment will send an in-app notification to all participants and kick off a notification email to anyone who is @mentioned. Users can reply directly to that email to respond to the comment or they can reply in the workflow. Ironclad will automatically include the email reply as a new comment in the Activity Feed.
To get your internal colleagues’ attention on a contract, @mention them in the Activity Feed comment box or in the “Comment” section when uploading a new document.
Note: You can @mention any user on Ironclad into a single workflow. This will give them permission to view that single workflow. *This action cannot be undone. In other words, once you @mention a user into a workflow, the ability for them to view that workflow cannot be removed.*
You can tag users in your comments by typing @username or selecting the @ button in the lower right corner of the comment box. You may mention multiple people on any given comment. If the name of the colleague you’re looking for doesn’t appear, they have not logged into Ironclad.
You can @mention users in the Activity Feed on the Review, Sign, and Archive steps as well as in the comment box in the "Update Document" dialogue.
Once a user has been tagged in a comment they will receive both an in-app notification and an email notification. All participants will receive an in-app notification. Ironclad will e-mail your comment to the person or people you’ve @mentioned, along with a link to the workflow. If the person you’ve mentioned is not a participant in the workflow you’ve commented on, they will not receive any of the subsequent notifications on that workflow and will not become a participant in that workflow.
You can reply to an @mention comment notification directly within the workflow or via email and your reply will be recorded in the Activity Feed.
Note: You cannot @mention someone in an email reply.
