Workflow Page UI Improvements
You now have a faster way to edit documents directly from the Workflow Page and better visibility into clause and playbook errors.
-
Edit button for main documents: You’ll see a new Edit button on the Workflow Page for documents generated from a template or uploaded as counterparty paper. If there’s only one main document, it opens in the editor automatically. If there are multiple documents, you can select which one to edit from a dropdown. This doesn’t apply to attachments or other non-main documents.
-
Improved clause and playbook error visibility: Clause error pills now appear in red. When you select a document, the Doc Preview shows a banner with clause error details. The message adapts based on your edit permissions.

Customize Out-Of-The-Box AI Properties
ENABLE/ACCESS: This functionality is available to new customers and those who are using the newest pricing model. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to your Ironclad representative.
You can now train Ironclad AI to refine the detection of the 19 out-of-the-box AI properties to better fit your company’s needs. Simply provide details like the property’s purpose, any context, descriptions of what not to detect, and example clauses to train our AI.
You can customize these settings to improve detection accuracy for your organization. For example, if your team uses the “Delivery Date” as the “Agreement Date”, you can either:
- Add additional clause examples and detection logic while keeping the original property name and description, or
- Provide a new property name and description to enable additional detection logic (similar to how custom clauses work).
These customizations don’t change the original Data Manager property configuration but add another layer of detection. Out-of-the-box detection remains available and continues to function as expected.

Resume Record Sync for Manually Updated Salesforce Fields
ENABLE/ACCESS: This feature is currently in early access. To use this functionality, please reach out to your Ironclad account team.
Previously, if a user manually edited a property in Salesforce that was synced by Ironclad Record Sync, Ironclad would stop syncing updates to that property—putting it in a permanently broken state.
Now, syncing will resume once the value in Ironclad matches the value in Salesforce. If the values do not match, Ironclad will not overwrite the Salesforce value. Once they do match, syncing resumes, allowing the property to recover from the broken state.
Additionally, the External Links view on the record now shows when Record Sync was last attempted. This information appears beneath each link as ‘Updated –m ago’.

Update Record Sync Configurations via Import
ENABLE/ACCESS: This feature is currently in early access. To use this functionality, please reach out to your Ironclad account team.
You can now import a Record Sync configuration for an existing Record Type to update the existing configuration, rather than replacing it. Previously, this required deleting the original configuration first, which disrupted record sync.

Retention of Salesforce Record Sync Errors
Starting August 13, 2025, Ironclad will begin automatically deleting integration errors on a rolling 90-day basis from your Ironclad account. This means that any integration error logged more than 90 days ago will be permanently removed from your account.
This change is designed to enhance your experience by reducing outdated or resolved errors that often create noise and clutter in your error log dashboard. By streamlining the error list, you'll be able to identify and resolve issues faster, without needing to sift through thousands of historical error records.
If you need to retain access to errors older than 90 days, please export your error logs prior to this date. Once deleted, these error logs will not be recoverable. To export your errors, please reach out to Ironclad Support.

Transactional API Updates to Salesforce
ENABLE/ACCESS: This feature is currently in early access. To use this functionality, please reach out to your Ironclad account team.
Ironclad now updates all objects for a given Record in Salesforce with a single API call during Record Sync. Previously, Ironclad made separate API calls per object, which could lead to partial updates and excessive API usage.

Build Clickwrap Workflows in Ironclad CLM
ENABLE/ACCESS: Clickwrap Workflows are available as an add-on. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to your Ironclad representative.
You can now create and manage Clickwrap workflows directly in Ironclad CLM. These workflows are prefect for standard agreements where contract acknowledgment is required and contracts remain static or can be updated dynamically. Clickwrap Workflows in CLM allow customers to leverage the power of Ironclad's Workflow Designer to build workflows that capture user acceptance of terms through an embedded experience—typically with a checkbox, acceptance language, and access to view and download terms.
When a user accepts the terms by checking a box, their acceptance is recorded and tracked in Ironclad. While acceptance is often captured upon form submission, you can configure exactly when acceptance is recorded in your implementation. You can find and review this information in the Ironclad CLM Dashboard by opening the corresponding record.
