This article will provide you with all of the information you need to know about the new unified dashboard and workflow page coming. This includes: an overview, links to additional resources, instructions on how to test this for yourself, and FAQs.
Ironclad’s New Unified Dashboard
We’re merging the Ironclad's Dashboard and Repository into one place that offers all the functionality you need to find and manage data at scale throughout the contract lifecycle.
Historically, these were separate experiences—one for pre-signature workflows and the other for signed and archived records. Despite this split, they both require similar capabilities like search, filtering, saved views, and bulk actions. In the past, some tools and features worked differently, or weren’t available at all, depending on which tab you were using. By integrating these experiences, we’re ensuring that all features work consistently across both.
Here’s what you can expect from the unified Dashboard:
- View, search, and filter all your contracts in one place
- Drill down on insights across both workflows and records data
- Set email reminders for everything
- Save your Dashboard searches
While we're integrating the Dashboard and Repository, certain capabilities will remain unchanged:
- Your views and reminders will be fully preserved
- User and group permissions will stay the same
- Workflows and records will still exist as distinct states, each with unique features and properties based on the contract’s stage
- Ironclad's public API endpoints and third-party integrations will not change with this update
This update brings efficiency and consistency, without disrupting your existing workflows.
What New Features Does the Unified Dashboard Offer?
Search and Filter Across Both Workflows and Records
By default, you’ll have access to all your contracts (both in progress and archived) in the Dashboard, allowing you to search and filter across your workflows and records. In addition, we're introducing saved searches, so you can quickly revisit your previous text searches and any filters you've configured.
Saved Views for Easy Access to Workflows and Records
Create custom views across all contract stages, or quickly access the same views you’re familiar with from both the Repository and Dashboard with just one click.
Quick Contract Previews, Right from the Dashboard
Click on any contract (both in progress and archived) in the Dashboard to instantly preview key details—such as the title, documents, properties, and more. This provides a quick summary, allowing you to dive into the documents or workflow page based on the next steps you need to take.
Seamless Bulk Actions Across Workflows and Records
Ironclad intelligently adapts to the contracts you select, allowing you to easily edit, reassign, or export data across both workflows and records.
Create Email Reminders for Any View
With views now spanning both workflows and records, you can set email reminders for both pre-signature and post-signature stages. Reminders will be in the overflow menu.
Create Insights Charts and Dive Deeper Into Your Data
With Ironclad Insights, there’s no need to create separate charts for workflows and record charts. All your data is now available in the Dashboard, allowing you to create a single chart and drill down into all of your data.
Ironclad's New Workflow Page
Ironclad’s workflow features have grown over time, and as the workflow page becomes more powerful, we’ve heard your feedback on how much harder it has become to focus on what’s most important in your workflow: progressing the workflow. We want to reduce the time you spend onboarding to Ironclad and fielding day-to-day questions about how to use Ironclad. We’re also laying the foundation for new features to come.
We’ve been working with customers like you over the past two years to understand our customers’ contracting goals and how we can improve the workflow page to serve these goals. This valuable ongoing feedback has helped guide our redesigns, ensuring that we’re serving all our customers across Sales, Procurement, Legal, Legal Operations, and more.
The new workflow page design:
- Helps you quickly see the status of your contract
- Shows you what tasks are outstanding to expedite your contracts
- Gives you visibility into your teammates’s responsibilities on a contract
- Groups related content and actions so you can find them intuitively
- Reduces the time you and your team spend on training and troubleshooting in Ironclad
What New Features Does the Updated Workflow Page Offer?
The Banner: Get Your Bearings and Get Going
The banner at the top of the page empowers your team to move quickly by highlighting the current state of negotiation, like who’s responsible for what, what needs to happen next, and if you are assigned to anything today.
Workflow Details: See Who’s Working on What
The workflow details expand under the banner and help your team take the right steps at the right times, from reviewing the contract, to coordinating the signatures, to signing and archiving the documents.
On the new page, the workflow details also stay consistent from step-to-step, so that you always know where to go and what to expect.
Documents Section: All Your Documents in One Place
The Documents section consolidates previously scattered documents across the center and right side of the page. In the new design, you can find everything in one place, from drafts generated by your company to files added for reference.
Properties Section: Key Information at a Glance
The Properties section boosts your confidence in negotiating complex contracts. It displays a contract's terms at a glance and allows you to update them across all contract documents with a single action. Editing properties is now more intuitive with the Edit action directly in this section.
Activity Feed: Team Collaboration in Real-Time
The streamlined Activity Feed gives you everything you need to join the negotiation. Catch up on your team’s discussion, tag your teammate in a question, or forward a counterparty’s email to the team. You can also more easily search and filter on past activity.
View and Manage your Integrations
Underneath the Documents section, you will find the Integrations section if there is an activate integration for your workflow. When you hover over the integration, you can refresh from source, open the linked source, open the account, or unlink the integration.
Where Do I Find Some of the Existing Workflow Page Functionality in the Updated Experience?
We made it easier for you to find important features by grouping them with related features and content.
See Workflow Details
Click on the banner to gain more context about the workflow’s status. See what happened before and what’s happening next, reassign tasks to your teammates, and add new reviewers and signers into your workflow.
Share Documents
Find the sharing feature next to other document actions in the new Documents section.
Upload New Documents
Find the upload feature next to other document actions in the new Documents section.
Reasons for Approval

Track Turns
Find the turn status next to the drafts being shared, and click on the status pill to see more detailed timelines.
Edit Info
Edit properties directly in the Properties section.
Ironclad ID
Easily grab the Ironclad ID next to the contract name in the new page header.
Forward Email to Activity Feed
Never miss a chance to forward your counterparty’s emails into the activity feed again. Find this feature quickly within the activity feed header itself.

General Transition and Usability
Question | Answer |
---|---|

Can users customize the layout, such as reordering sections and adjusting settings? | Users can customize the order of all their custom views. In the future, we are considering more customization, such as hiding or reordering all views, including the defaults. |
Will historical data and previous configurations remain intact after the update? | Yes! There are no changes to the workflows, records, insights charts, or reminders that were created prior to this update. |
How frequently will updates or bug fixes be released moving forward? | New features will be released several times each quarter as part of standard Ironclad releases. Bug fixes will be deployed to customers as soon as fixes are identified and tested. |
Will there be a rollback option if we experience major issues after updating? | If you encounter issues, you should reach out to Ironclad Support. If there are major issues they will be fixed as part of our standard incident response and bug triage. |
How can we test the new system before fully committing to the transition? | Reach out to your customer success team for early access. |
Does the new Workflow Page or Unified Dashboard impact my Salesforce integration or any APIs? | No, there is no impact to the Salesforce page layout. There are also no changes to the APIs are coming with this update. |
Does the new Workflow Page or Unified Dashboard impact my eSignature integrations? | No, we have maintained the same eSignature functionality in this new UI. |
How can users easily distinguish between which docs get included in the signature packet and which ones do not? | We have not changed any functionality around that, so documents that would show up under main document continue to do so. We will next be working on a clearer view of which documents are in your signature packet. |
How do we differentiate which document was generated from a template within the workflow configuration vs. uploaded via launch form questions as supporting documents? | Documents uploaded via the launch form are found in Documents under a subheader “Mapped to a property”. |
Can Properties still be organized through Workflow Designer as we can today? | Yes, properties ordering and categorizing in sections are honored. We are no longer highlighting starred properties, however. |

Has anything changed with Edit Properties? | The location of the action has changed, but the Edit Properties modal and functionality remains the same. Any updates to properties will sync to the document, unless a new document version has been uploaded that breaks the sync, which is current behavior. |
Technical and Functional Changes

How will data migration work for existing users, and will there be any downtime? | There will be zero downtime for this update. |

Additionally, you can now save your search text as part of a custom view. |
Will there be changes to the way notifications or alerts work? | No. |
