This article will walk you through how to pause, cancel, and resume workflows directly in Salesforce using the Ironclad Next steps Web Lightning component.
You can track and manage your workflow directly within Salesforce using the Ironclad Next Steps component on the Ironclad workflow object. Permissions to perform any of these actions are determined by the permissions set in the workflow configuration.
To pause, cancel, or resume a workflow, click the down arrow next to View in Ironclad. From there, you can select Pause Workflow, Cancel Workflow, or Resume Workflow, depending on the current stage of the workflow.
Pause Workflow
- Click the down arrow located next to View in Ironclad.
- Click Pause Workflow.
- Enter a Pause reason and click Confirm.
- The workflow is paused and the Pause reason is added to the Ironclad Messages component.
Resume Workflow
Only the workflow owner can resume the workflow. To identify the owner, open the workflow in Ironclad and check the "Created By" details, located directly beneath the workflow title.
- Click the down arrow located next to View in Ironclad.
- Click Resume Workflow.
- Enter a Resume reason and click Confirm.
- The workflow is resumed and the Resume reason is added to the Ironclad Messages component. Approvals are reset.
Cancel Workflow
Only the workflow owner can cancel the workflow. To identify the owner, open the workflow in Ironclad and check the "Created By" details, located directly beneath the workflow title.
- Click the down arrow located next to View in Ironclad.
- Click Cancel Workflow.
- Enter a Cancellation reason and click Confirm.
- The workflow is canceled and the Cancellation reason is added to the Ironclad Messages component.
