Connect Microsoft Teams and Ironclad
- In Ironclad, click on your profile icon located in the top right corner of Ironclad. Navigate to Company Settings > Integrations.
- Under Other Integrations, click the Microsoft Teams tile.
- Click Link Account.
- If you are not logged into Microsoft Teams on your device, you are prompted with a login screen.
- If you are logged into Microsoft Teams on your device, an authorization screen displays.
- Select Allow to integrate Microsoft Teams with Ironclad. You are redirected back to the Integrations page, and the Microsoft Teams tile shows as Configured.
- In Microsoft Teams, the Ironclad app is automatically added.
NOTE
The Ironclad app will appear the next time there is activity in a workflow you participate in, as long you haven’t turned off all your Teams notifications.
Install the Ironclad App on Microsoft Teams
Permission: Microsoft Teams Admin
After you have successfully linked your Ironclad and Microsoft Teams accounts, you must install the Ironclad app. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Individual Install
Follow these steps if you would like for each user to install the Ironclad app in Microsoft Teams, rather than it being installed for them.
- In the Microsoft Teams admin center, navigate to Manage apps, and search for Ironclad.
- Select Ironclad, and then under Users and groups, click Edit availability.
- Select the groups you want to be able to install the app, or select Everyone.
- In the Microsoft Teams app, select the 3 horizontal dots to View more apps.
- Search for Ironclad and add the app.
Option 2: Admin Install
Follow these steps if you want the Microsoft Teams admin to install the Ironclad app in Microsoft Teams for everyone.
- In the Microsoft Teams admin center, navigate to App Setup Policies > Global.
- Under Installed apps, select + Add apps.
- Select Ironclad.
Manage Notification Settings
- After you install the integration with Teams for your company, click on your profile icon located in the top right corner of Ironclad. Navigate to Company Settings > Notifications to control which notifications you receive.
- Under Microsoft Teams Notifications, select the event-specific dropdowns to enable your desired notifications. By default, a sparse set of notifications is selected.
- Click Update.
Compatibility with LE Builder Workflows
Launch Workflows via Microsoft Teams
- After the integration with Microsoft Teams has been successfully installed, navigate to the Teams section, start a new post, and use the ‘+’ to view apps.
- If you do not see Ironclad displayed, search for Ironclad.
- A modal with the workflows you have access to displays. You can launch workflows directly from Microsoft Teams and then be redirected to Ironclad to complete the launch form.
Integration with Microsoft Teams FAQs
Q: Can I link with approval requests?
A: We do not support linking with approval requests at the time. The integration must be linked by someone with global administrator privileges in their Microsoft tenant.
