At a Glance
This week's release includes the following features:
Smart Detect Beta
Smart Detect informs you of metadata changes detected in your document. You are then prompted to change your metadata information to the fields Smart Detect picks up and suggests. If you are interested in signing up for this beta, reach out to Support.
Playbooks Configuration UX Enhancements
The workflow Admin Playbooks experience has been refreshed. The functionality has not changed.
Reassign Workflows Upon User Deletion in SCIM
When an Ironclad user is deleted via SCIM, we now automatically reassign all of their associated workflows to your default company admin. This prevents workflows from getting stuck or lost. Your admin can then reassign and delegate workflow tasks to other team members in Ironclad.
Workflow Administrator Permissions Can Be Granted Outside Administrator Group
There is now a single permission you can grant users to give them permission to manage workflows.
This permissions enables the user to:
- Cancel completed workflows
- Revoke counterparty invites
- Send counterparty invites
- Force share documents
- Force allow document downloads
- Allow resetting approvals/overriding WF approvals via Edit Info/Update Document during a workflow’s sign step
- Allow changing signer during sign step
- Allow removing in-flight workflows’ participants
If you are interested in having this feature enabled, please reach out to Support or your Ironclad representative.
Unpublished Workflow Configurations Display in Group Permission Dropdown
Unpublished workflows now display in the Workflow Access dropdown when you edit a group's permissions.

This week's release includes the following features:
Lifecycle Preset
The Lifecycle Preset is a library of fields, conditions, and questions that you can add to your workflow configurations for Ironclad to track your contract statuses automatically. This feature is currently available to new customers. It will be enabled for existing customers in Q4.
To learn more about this feature, refer to Use the Lifecycle Preset in Workflow Designer.
Bulk Workflow Actions
Admins can archive, pause, and cancel workflows. Owners can pause and cancel their workflows. Archivers can archive their workflows. This new admin functionality enables admins to clear out old workflows to keep the Dashboard clean for everyone.
Ironclad Editor Microsoft Word Integration
You can edit your documents directly in Microsoft Word instead of having to download/upload your documents. When you save a document in Word, it automatically adds a new version to Ironclad.
Update Signature Status at Sign Step
There is now a button in workflows to update incorrect signature statuses at the Sign step.
Include Date Created Field in User Summary Export
The User Summary export now has a Date Created field so you can determine when a user was created. This field details when a user was created, not necessarily added to your company. If a user is removed and added again, it will show the original user creation date.

This feature provide users a mechanism to pull in new version updates from other newly published documents. You can see any changes made to the document that you may want to include in the newest version, as well as ignore all updates and simply upload the latest version.
Remove Loading Icon from CC Recipients
Previously, if there was a CC recipient on a workflow, and any action took place during the Sign step, a loading icon would display next to the CC recipient, even if the action did not pertain to them. We have completely removed the loading icon. This applies to all workflows at the Sign step that have a CC recipient, regardless of the signature provider.
Max of 100 Contracts Returned for Virtual Groups
The limit of contracts that can be returned for virtual groups in the response from the API is now 100.
Updated Publish Dropdown
The Publish button has been updated to nest Schedule Publish in a dropdown underneath Publish.
Display Tokens in Preview (New Experience)
Previously, in the new Clickwrap experience, we did not display placeholder text for HTML tokens in the preview. With this update, highlighted text is now displayed for each HTML token in the new experience's preview.

Bug Fix: Multiple Published Template Versions
Previously, publishing a new template version while the previous published version has an effective time in the future causes multiple published versions.
This fix de-couples effective time from publishing and allows customers to set effective times without impacting publishing.
