Merge Document Versions FAQs
If I choose not to merge my document version with updated document versions, do I receive a warning?
This tool tip states that the updates that occurred within Version 3 are not included in the new uploaded versions "Version 4."
There is nothing wrong with your document. This only means that your document version does not contain updates that were made in a previous version.
Can I merge document versions after I dismiss the initial version merge option?
Yes. You can use the Compare version functionality in the Version History page and choose Edit from redline to consolidate the differences between document versions.
I'm receiving an error that states '1 recent update conflicts with the previous version'. Why is this happening, and how do I resolve it?
This error occurs when you update a document using Edit Info while also making manual edits to the document near the location of the metadata change. Ironclad can't determine which update to keep, so you must review the conflict and choose which change to retain—either the Edit Info update or the manual edit to the document.
