This topic will walk you through how to delete duplicates in imports projects and the Repository.
Duplicates are records that have the same signed document contents. The original record is the first record created in the Repository. All subsequent records sharing the same document contents are treated as duplicates.
Ironclad identifies duplicates by comparing a hash of the uploaded document against the uploaded document in other records. Additional documents on a record (including PDFs generated by Smart Import from an uploaded Word document), Ironclad properties, and file names are not used to classify duplicates.
For example, if you have identical documents with different file names or properties, Ironclad will still classify those documents as duplicates against the uploaded document in other records and the signed document in archived workflows.
