This topic will provide an overview and distinction of the Clickwrap new and classic experiences.
There are two distinct interfaces of Ironclad Clickwrap: the new experience and the classic experience.
Clickwrap Experiences Overview
The Clickwrap new experience is the current user interface on clickwrap.pactsafe.com. The Clickwrap classic experience predates the new experience on app.pactsafe.com.
The classic and new experiences have the same backend, so no data is lost if you initially configure and publish Clickwrap components in the classic experience but use the new experience moving forward.
For example, if you created a contract in the classic experience, you can locate that same contract (called a "template") in the new experience. The contract ID in the classic experience will be identical to the template ID in the new experience.
Classic vs. New Experience Terminology
The majority of Clickwrap components and functionality exist in both experiences, but they may have different names. Use the table below as a reference guide:

| Groups | Clickwrap Groups/Clickwraps | Clickwrap Groups, or Clickwraps, are the containers that hold contract(s) for acceptance, where you manage visual and overall settings of the Clickwrap experience. They were called Groups in the classic experience. |
| Snapshots | Snapshots | Snapshots are screenshots of a webpage or application where your Clickwrap Group is embedded. Snapshots are only available in the new experience. |
| Legal Centers | Legal Centers | Legal Centers are Ironclad-hosted webpage where your templates are publicly available to view and download as PDFs. They have the same name in both the new and classic experiences. |
| Signers | - | Signers provides a list of every individual that has agreed to any of your Clickwraps. This view is not available in the new experience. |
| Activity Log | Activity (individual Clickwrap Group) | The Activity Log in the classic experience provides a list of activity across your site. This view is only available in the new experience for individual Clickwrap Groups within their Activity tabs. |
Note: Some settings and functionality are still managed within the classic experience, including Legal Center customization and user management. These features are specified with arrows in the new experience. Upon clicking them, a new tab opens that feature in the classic experience.
Navigate the Experiences
Navigate from New to Classic
- Click your user icon in the upper right corner.
- Select Open Classic App. This will open the classic experience in a new tab. You can also select Classic Settings to open the classic experience settings in a new tab.
Note: If you want to view a specific Clickwrap component/building block in the classic experience, such as a template/contract, you can scroll to the bottom of the template's page, then click View in classic app to view the contract in the classic experience.
Navigate from Classic to New
- Click your user icon in the lower left corner.
- Select Open New Experience. This will open the new experience in a new tab.
