This is an overview of Frequently Asked Questions about The New PactSafe. We will be providing customers with detailed walkthroughs, additional training, and documentation as they are granted access to the new experience.
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to your CSM and we will get you answers as quickly as possible! The goal of this new experience is to provide an easy to use, intuitive tool. Feedback, concerns, and other comments will continue to help us improve PactSafe for you and your team.
How do I gain access to The New PactSafe?
We are migrating groups of customers as part of a phased release of the New PactSafe. If you are a part of the first group, as of November 4th, 2020, when you login to PactSafe, you will see a banner at the top of your dashboard. When you click Try It Out, you will be taken directly into The New PactSafe. If you click Learn More, you will be able to access additional information on New App.
What can I do, functionally, within The New PactSafe?
As of the initial launch on November 4th, 2020, we will only be rolling out our new “Prepare Contract” flow that allows you to prepare and send SmartPacts and embedded clickwrap agreements, aka “Standardized Contracts,” from within the New App. All other functionality will redirect you to PactSafe Classic for the time being.
Does accessing New App impact the cost of PactSafe?
No, this is simply an update to the app to enhance customer experience, and a part of our effort to continuously improve our offering. No additional cost, or changes to your annual plan will result in accessing The New PactSafe.
When will Classic App go away for good?
We will not sunset PactSafe Classic without thorough communication with all our customers to ensure they are ready to be moved over. This is not projected to happen in the near future. Since PactSafe Classic and The New PactSafe are fed by the same database, there should be no issues with migration: all of your templates, signer information, version history, signing logs, etc. will be present in The New PactSafe.
Can I create Personalized Contracts within the New App?
No, at this time, the prepare flow in The New PactSafe only supports Standardized Contracts (aka SmartPacts and Groups in PactSafe Classic). We are slowly migrating all functionality into The New PactSafe and want to receive user feedback along the way so that we can ensure a tailored, responsive customer experience.
Where did the analytics on Dashboard go within the New App?
Rest assured, all relevant data is still being collected for the agreements tied to your account. However, the analytics display portion of PactSafe's services will remain in PactSafe Classic to ensure you have uninterrupted access to the data that powers your business, located in a familiar and accessible place. Adding more data and information to the dashboard for our users is a high-priority phase in our development plan.
Where is the menu to navigate through The New PactSafe?
You can easily access relevant functionality, sub pages, etc. by clicking on your User Icon in the top right corner of the app.
Can I still send templates in a specified order?
Absolutely! In the second step of the prepare flow, entitled Select Template(s), you will see a panel on the left side of your various templates.
As you select the templates, they will appear in the order in which they were selected on that left sidebar.
Within that sidebar, you can physically reorder the templates via drag and drop, and even remove documents by clicking the “x” located to the right of the document title.
At any time in the prepare flow, prior to sending, you can return to the Templates tile and re-order your documents to easily display your templates in the correct order to your signers.
I made a change in PactSafe Classic that is not being reflected in The New PactSafe ... help!
If you make a change in Classic App while you have New App open in a different tab, you might need to refresh the New App page in order to see the changes reflected, and vice versa. Anytime you have both apps open at the same time, there will be a slight delay and potential need to refresh to view any changes. After you refresh, all of your data will be reflected in the app!
How can I return to PactSafe Classic?
For now, when you access The New PactSafe, it will always open in a new tab, making sure your place in PactSafe Classic is saved in a separate tab. To get back, you can always select your original, PactSafe Classic tab and hit refresh to ensure that any work done in The New PactSafe transfers over. You can also open up a new tab in your browser and type in app.pactsafe.com to automatically login to PactSafe Classic App. To return to PactSafe Classic from within The New PacySafe, just click the button in the banner at the bottom of your screen that says "Back to Classic".
