This article will walk you through how to launch a workflow.
Starting a workflow in Ironclad is the first step in generating, reviewing, and finalizing a contract. Whether you're working with an NDA, MSA, SOW, or any other agreement type, workflows help standardize and automate each step of the process. By launching a workflow, you ensure that the right stakeholders are looped in, the correct templates are used, and key contract details are captured up front.
- In Ironclad, click the Dashboard tab.
- Click the New button > Start a workflow.
- Click on a workflow template to preview the form. If this is the workflow you want to create, click Use this workflow. The workflow launches and allows you to enter the information needed to initiate the agreement.
If you are not ready to submit your launch form, click Save located in the fixed footer. To view the saved form, click the Start Workflow button and it is located under the Saved Forms section. You can then update or delete the form.
NOTE
Uploaded documents are not saved with the form. You’ll need to re-upload any documents when you're ready to launch.- When you are finished filling out your launch form, click Submit located in the fixed footer.
Launch Form Errors
A draft of the launch form is autosaved when a launch fails because of server, formula, or other errors. This lets you retry the launch without re-entering your information. If the issue continues, you can update and republish your workflow configuration, then relaunch using the saved draft with the latest version.
