This article will walk you through how to complete your Ironclad approvals in Salesforce. This includes how to set up your Ironclad approvals in Salesforce. This article is intended for users with version 3.30+ of the Ironclad Managed Package. The information may not be accurate for previous versions.
The Ironclad module on the right shows the status of approvals and signature packets. If you are an approver, you can approve the contract directly within this module. You can also revert the contract to an editable state by clicking Revert to Review.
How to Approve a Workflow in Salesforce
If sequential approvers are configured in Ironclad, the Next Steps module will reflect the approval order. Approvers can only approve the workflow when it’s their turn. Ad Hoc approvers are assigned to the last approval group and cannot approve out of turn in Salesforce.
When it’s time for approval, the approver will receive an email with options to approve via email by clicking Reply to Approve, or they can click Open Contract to review and approve the contract directly in Salesforce.
In the Next Steps module, the following statuses may appear for each approver:
- Requested: Approval has been requested via email.
- Pending: It’s not yet the user’s turn to approve. They will receive an email notification when it is.
- Approved: The user has approved the contract.
If the workflow is paused, all approvals will be reset when it is resumed.
