This topic will walk you through how to reassign signers for eSignature integrations.
You can activate signer reassignment within your workflow to allow a signer to reassign their signature request on the Sign tab in Workflow Designer, instead of needing to return to the Review tab. While you can edit signers within a workflow, you cannot reassign signers within your workflow. Instead, you must do this through your eSignature provider.

- In DocuSign, click Other Actions > Assign to Someone Else. The Assign to Someone Else dialog displays asking you for additional information on the new signer.
- Click Assign to Someone Else. The initial signer receives an email stating that they still have access to the document, but they cannot sign it. The new signer receives an email informing them of their new role as a signer.
- In Ironclad, navigate to your workflow. In the Signers section, there is a new row with the information of the the new signer. The previous signer also has a status of Reassigned. There is also a new event in the Activity Feed documenting the signer’s reassignment.
- When the new signer signs the document, Ironclad automatically updates the workflow information to reflect the new signer’s name and email address. The initial counterparty signer also receives a copy of the signed document.
