This topic will provide you with an overview of sequential signatures.
If you do not see this feature on your workflows and would like to enable it, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your workflow template is enabled with sequential signatures, then the order of signature collection is built in. Typically, the counterparty is required to sign first, and then the company’s designated signer’s signature is requested.
When a signature request is sent to a signer, they are labeled Out for Signature. If a signer is waiting for their turn in the sequence, they are labeled Waiting on sequence.
Some inbound workflows have the signature order already built-in and the information auto-filled. Generally, though, you must specify the order of signers. The order in which you add signers in the Sign Document window is the order in which the requests are sent out. If you don’t want the signatures to be collected sequentially, you can deselect the Send signature requests sequentially? checkbox and the requests are then sent out concurrently.
