This article will provide you with an overview of sequential signatures.
There are two ways signatures can be collected, simultaneously or sequentially. You can either send out all signature requests at the same time, or define an order in which they should be sent out. When one signature is completed, the next will be sent until all signatures are completed.
Enable Sequential Signatures in Workflow Designer
To collect signatures in order, an administrator must enable them on the workflow template in Workflow Designer. To do so, on the Sign tab of the workflow template, toggle on Collect signatures in order.
Manage Signing Order
If your workflow configuration is enabled with sequential signatures, then the order of signature collection is built in. Typically, the counterparty is required to sign first, and then the company’s designated signer’s signature is requested.
When a signature request is sent to a signer, they are labeled Awaiting signature. If a signer is waiting for their turn in the sequence, they are labeled Not their turn.
