This article will walk you through how to enable auto-archive in Workflow Designer.
You can specify whether or not your workflow configurations automatically archive themselves or if they require a manual archiver. You can configure them to always archive, never archive, or archive conditionally. Simple workflows can skip the archive step entirely and go straight to the Repository.
Enable Auto-Archive
You must enable auto-archive for each individual workflow configuration.
- Click on the Workflow Designer tab and select the workflow configuration you want to modify. Click the Archive tab.
- Scroll down to the Auto-archive section.
- Select one of the following from the drop-down:
Setting Auto-Archive Behavior Record Property Storage Never This is the default selection. Workflows created from your configuration will never auto-archive, and will always require a manual archiver. All additional record properties will be stored in the Repository. Always Workflows created from your configuration will always auto-archive, and will never require a manual archiver. No additional record properties are stored in the Repository. Pre-existing additional record properties are still displayed in the Additional Record Properties section of the Archive tab but in a disabled, uneditable state. The Add Record Property button is also disabled. When... Select one of your existing conditions. When the condition you selected is true, the workflow will auto-archive. The storage of additional record properties depends on whether or not the condition is true. You can still add and remove additional record properties, but those additional record properties will only be stored in Repository if the selected condition is false.
