This topic will walk you through how to add a file attachment to your signature packet and defines what file types can be included in your signature packet.
You can add a file attachment question to your launch form to allow users to add file attachments. However, only certain file types are included in the signature packet.
Add a File Attachment
File attachment form questions allow you to collect additional files from your users. Your users’ files are uploaded to cloud storage at the path configured at Archive > File Management > File Paths > Uploads. The files are also attached to the contract record when the workflow is archived.
- Click on the Workflow Designer tab and select the workflow configuration you want to modify. Click on the Create tab.
- Click Add question to form or Add question to section.
- For the form question type, select File Attachment.
- Customize the question with how you would like it to appear in your launch form.
- If you want the file attachment question to only show up if the user wants to include an attachment, you can use advanced conditions to accomplish this. Create a yes or no question that asks “Would you like to include an attachment with the signature packet?” and then create a condition that defines IF the question equals YES. Use this condition to define when your file attachment question should display. If you want to understand how this looks like in practice, refer to Advanced Conditions Use Case.
- If your workflow has multiple documents, you can configure the order of these documents by clicking the Sign tab, and then Settings. Locate Signature Packet Documents. You can edit the signature packet’s ordering and add file attachments uploaded from the form builder.
